Big Sur or farther north? I wouldn't mind living there either way. Reminded me of poet/author Robinson Jeffers, 1887-1962, who lived/worked in the Carmel area from 1913-1962, very sparsely populated then, interesting guy, I read a lot of his poetry in my 20s, think I'll revisit it.

This is near Muir Beach, barely 5 miles north of SF as the crow flies but about a 30 min drive. It always strikes me as the ultimate example of "location, location, location".
I took this photo from Spindrift Point, which belonged to the sailor/author Charles Borden in the 60s. He donated the land and his tiny cabin to a conservation org, which now manages it as a preserve and staff retreat. My partner works for the org and we occasionally get to spend a weekend there.
