Wow, i hadn’t realized (until your post, that is), that multi-color would be so much more work.

Looking forward to seeing the results.

Went to the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown to check out the MC Escher special exhibit. Incredible stuff. OK, three pics but I feel the need to show some of the range. Not to mention the astounding technical skill, not just the astounding eye, he had.

I love this photo of my wife's horse Syndicate. At the time, they were in an indoor arena waiting out a passing thunderstorm in Colorado. From a kill lot $400 special to a nationally ranked working equestrian horse, he has led a charmed life.

It’s probably one of those ‘you had to be there’ pics, but it’s memorable to me.

I’m in Nice, France as mechanical support for an athlete who competed in the IronMan World Championship yesterday. Our hotel is on the fringe of a North African cultures neighborhood (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria etc) so we’re spending time there eating and talking to folks, with whose cultures I’ve had no experience.

For some reason there’s lots of butcher shops in this neighborhood and I walked into this one because it was clean, bright and the meat was well displayed. I speak Spanish, a bit if Italian and zero French so I motioned to them, silently asking if I may take pictures. One said “Where you from?” I told him United States. He shouted “America!” As others joined in with “Miami!”, “Oklahoma!”, “Washington!” Then laughter. These two guys grasped each other with their big grins and I took the pic.

It was in the moment and to me memorable. Worthy of this forum? Now I don’t know but it kinda made my day.

I’m going to Romania and visit a number of east European countries in a couple of weeks. I’m sure I’ll find something of this nature there, humor and friendliness.

Great story, thank you. I love getting out in the world and being pleasantly surprised by people.
