    Yep. They were moving around a bit while I was taking the photo. Two day cold (well, chilly) snap I think sent her indoors.

    Looks like the same snake! I actually need one or two of those black rat snakes to help me manage the rodent crew here at the homestead. I keep on the lookout for candidates.

    I need an outside animal. Cats eat too many birds outdoors. Snakes act as rodent repellent as well as eating them.

    Maybe I can hire the local coyotes.
