My wife’s cousin is the bass player in this local cover band (Souls Searchers) and they’ve been playing together for over 20 years. The keyboard player in the other band (Spin Cycle) is a family friend and he is one of the band’s founders ca 2006. Back story on both…the bass player (Fr. John) is a parish priest and the keyboard player is an IT guy for one of the local hospitals. Have fun, as these two gents certainly do.

Joe Bonamassa- Blues of Desperation.
Seems somehow appropriate.
I can't imagine how this must've brought down the house in 1967. I didn't know the name of the song until tonight.

I’ve always liked the Monterey Pop performance.
Battery and T free cyclist.
I’m subscribing to Nugs for a few months this winter, great for grinding out base miles on the Peloton. Fleetwood Mac at the peak of Rumours fame at the Hollywood Bowl is pretty wild.

Kill Bill soundtrack. Vinyl. On a cheap-ass turntable I bought in a bookstore, through BT headphones because the TT speaker is terrible. I miss the experience. Need to rectify the cheap ass TT part!
Next up: Richard Thompson Ship to Shore
What do you think we will hear the next 4 years?

I’m trying to change tires and my air guitar keeps getting in the way.
I will be listening to Roberta Flack this evening.
Watching and listening. Got a little dusty in here when Bill appeared.
I just listened to one of the big hits from Fleetwood Mac's Rumors album.
It still sounds like 70's soft rock bs to my ear.
Just asking.
Listening to Roberta Flack's Celebration of Life currently here:

I’ll agree to disagree here. If you can find the Songbird documentary on BBC, which focuses on Christine McVie, I’d highly suggest you watch it.
I think technical perfection and making the difficult seem easy engenders its own kind of backlash when combined with music that is by its very nature meant to be popular. See: The Eagles, etc.
But those five personalities creating Rumours when they did…damn.
And try the live albums. Rumours Live and Mirage Tour Live. Hitting every note in the studio is way different than nailing it in the Hollywood Bowl.
Lastly. I saw Sturgill Simpson at the Anthem in November and the show blew me away. Saw him again in Belfast recently. Venue acoustics way worse (basically a warehouse) but crowd was half the size and the same energy and skill was there. Equally as fun. Going again to Meriwether in May, so curious to see the outdoor experience and it’s a “new” tour after this winter’s Euro swing so maybe the set list changes a bit.
Also have tickets to Sierra Ferrell, Maren Morris, and Emmylou Harris this summer. Gonna be a good concert season.
