William Prince out of northern Canada is awesome. His lyrics are jaw dropping at times...and I hate country.

Thanks for the Fraser ford recommendations. Gonna listen on the commute this morning.
My pics are a bit random... there is so much good music out there:

    Juana Molina - Halo lp.
    Slowdive - Slowdive LP.
Kinks- sleepwalker -and- Arthur... both great.
Sinikka langeland: strengen var af rode guld (Norwegian folk, wonderful winter music)
Triangulo de amor bizarro: Victoria mistika - noisy rock from Madrid
Omar Souleyman - shlon lp - Syrian boogie music

Tyler and Sturgill are coming to Omaha, can't wait.

At this moment I've got my Pandora dialed in to Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Getcha some.

    For something completely different:

While I love serious music and I am serious about loving music, these guys are just too fun. Appeals to the band kid in me.

That's not the voice I expected!

If you like great song writing, surely you know Jason Isbell. We watched the documentary on the Bluebird Cafe a few weeks ago, and in it he talked about playing this song there and he was so nervous he mixed up the lyrics, he sang "I blocked a park away" instead of "I parked a block away", but people told him they liked that line specifically so he left it that way.

This was filmed a few years before he went to rehab. Amazing how much he's changed since getting sober.

I like singer/song writers who tell stories. There's more to Country than Pickup Trucks and Beer (Tyler Childers)

Saw GZA (of Wu-Tang Clan) last night in Iowa City.

Been listening to a lot of Between the Buried and Me, Tyler Childers, and the Chapo Trap House podcast.
