Default Skull cap with sweat band

I know we have discussed sun sleeves, sunscreen and other protective items. I have worn out my cap and it has a funk that can't be exorcised. Lots of stuff
on line but I would like to hear what you are using. For those of us follicley challenged like me it's a necessity here in Florida.

I use a sweatvac. Works pretty well except in the hottest most humid days of the DC summer.

I’ve used a HeadSweats model that worked pretty well. Castelli makes a nice one, but the current model looks different than the one I used. The new one has some lighter mesh on top - not sure how that works with the sun. Pearl Izumi makes one out of the same cooling fabric that they make their arm sleeves out of, so that’s probably good. Now I wear a Giro summer cap with a visor. Keeps the sun off my thinning hair and scalp and my nose as well. The material and sweat band are thin enough to fit under most helmets without sizing up. All of these options are white, so some staining from sunscreen will occur.

Thumbs up Re: Skull cap with sweat band

I like a thin cotton cycling cap. It is not too thick under the helmet and very absorbent for sweat.
I also like the brim b/c it keeps the sun off of my neapolitan nose.

I like the Headsweats mesh shorty when it’s hot and the Rothera mesh cap (with visor) when its hot and raining.

I use a Halo cap, they do a skull cap as well. Works really well. Very light. Doesn't try to absorb all your sweat, but stops it getting in your eyes.

I use a Sweatvac too. I rinse mine in the shower immediately after a ride, and it remains funk-free.

Another vote for the Headsweats Shorty. I've been using those for a dozen years and A) can't imagine how another product could possibly be better; and B) still have the ones that I bought 12 years ago. They don't stink, don't go bad, don't disintegrate, >6,000 miles/year and they're still working/looking great

...well, presuming you enjoy looking like a pirate.
