    Default orthotic inserts

    Good morning Salonistas!

I currently own one pair of custom made orthotics. They do the trick but are so bulky they don't fit well in 90% of my shoes. I've been trying off the rack options and have found one set that offer minimal relief and fit ok. Most i've found offer little arch support.

The customs were $400, iirc. I don't mind the cost, as long as they fit in my shoes, which these do not...

Please point me in the direction of some relatively thin, full sole, orthotics. If i return to the foot doc i'll get an rx for stretches and a new pair of orthotics, that still won't fit.

    plantar fasciitis...the struggle is real.

Don Lamson, formerly of D2 Shoe, is back building cycling shoes, and he can make insoles for cycling shoes and other footwear. I use custom insoles from old cycling shoes in my everyday shoes and they work great. https://lamsoncycling.com/.

I’m not Don! I count him as a friend, love his shoes, and have been using his insoles in my ski boots since his days at Bootlab of Vail. You won’t go wrong. Call Don at his shop.

Get bigger shoes. Seriously. Do NOT throw $$$ at anything that's too tight, even if that's what the podiatrist (and his lab) want you to do.
