Default Drill Fork For Rack Braze Ons

I am finishing a fork that I would like to install a front rack on. The bike is going to be used as an everyday around town grocery bike. The brakes are cantilevers. I prefer the look of a rack braze on built into the fork. How do you make the call to drill or not to drill a fork blade?

If you wanna bypass the clamps, some rack braze-ons are drill only.
I'd opt for these (larger water bottle type bosses) rather than the hourglass types that rest on the exterior.

I have no idea what the material thickness of the fork blades are. The blades were given to me and I did not take note of the material thickness before I built the fork. The front rack braze ons are an after thought.
I am worried that the fork blades might be made out of a thin wall material and that drilling will cause the blades to fail.

If you're worried, walk away from the project now.
