Howdy Larry, feel free to weight dope. I'll prolly be on the route tomorrow same time and will post something in the morning if nobody else does.

Hmmm BeWheels was sandbagging me like a muthah but thanks it made me feel "human" compared to your skills.

As lame as it sounds to "pace" in a group of electronic riders done right it makes the entire disaster tolerable so thank you Brian.

Larry, if you use the Bicycling jersey it really stands out however we did ok simply adding NFS or VSalon to the end of last name.

Josh - The funny thing is that I had not seen the post about when you were going to be on. I just happen to be on and we found each other even though there were 5500 other people on course. Will check the thread next time...

    Pace: yup (slow as shite ~ 2.5 w/kg. with a solid 10 min. warm up < 2.5)
Notes: add NFS or Vsalon to your name if you want to pace together
    Texting: not so much

KICKR started making a progressively louder clicking then a grind on the climb. Same noise with bike off. It was fun while it lasted.

We figured you had technical issues.

I wasn't weight doping that much and was able to hang. I googled the noise and found the fix. I had to go to work for a while because of a project but the KICKR is apart on the table and I know it's a key issue on the lower pulley. I confirmed that with the belt off. Just have to finish fixing it and button it up when I get home from work. Worst case, I make another key for it in the morning. It's good to be the Engineering Manager of a large maintenance shop.

We were pretty happy to see your name pop up and figured it was a mechanical.
    Good jersey, easy to spot.

It was the key on the pulley. Apparently Wahoo recognizes that several of the first group had this issue. I should have recognized the clunk earlier in the week but attributed it to the UT bearings. It's all together now and like butter. I'll give it a go tomorrow afternoon.

I would expect no less from a man with your skills.

During the week I'm on the (d@mn) thing afternoons as well.

Got an hour in this evening on the flat 7.5 mile loop through the lavafields. No noise and a good spin down afterwards. I had to retension the belt after fixing the lower pulley but I counted the turns on the tension pulley adjustment so it was pretty much unchanged from before. I earned some sweet pink socks and a Specialized bike.

I was doing 2 to 2.5 yesterday, I'm getting better at applying effort to stay on target. But I'm fat and out of shape so 2.5 is still a 140+ HR. I do a few uphill sprints at 700-800 watts, I'd like to be 1200+ by spring.

If anyone has noise issues with their V2 Wahoo KICKR, I know how to fix it. They built a bunch with the key for the lower pulley 90 degrees out of position so it starts with a clunk and progresses to a clicking noise that occurs whether pedaling or coasting. It's just a matter of reassembly with the proper placement.

Giddyup. Steady pace on the flats and work the hill. Re-group if we split on Box Hill and stay together all other times.

    Wed Dec 12
    Start: 9am EST
    Route: London 8 (Distance: 20.3 km (12.6 miles) Elevation Gain: 238m (780′)
    Pace: yup (slow as shite ~ 2.5 w/kg. with a solid 10 min. warm up < 2.5)
Notes: add NFS or Vsalon to your name if you want to pace together
    Texting: not so much
Total Distance: Probably 2 laps maybe three. I'll prolly call for a p break at the top of Box Hill 5 mins. (just hit your brakes at the banner...it's obvious)

    Saturday Dec. 15

    (Rinse and Repeat)

Steady pace on the flats 2-2.5 and work Box Hill as hard as you desire. Re-group if we split on Box Hill. Wait at the Banner than start peddling once we are grouped and stay together all other times.

    Start: 9am EST

    Route: London 8 (Distance: 20.3 km (12.6 miles) Elevation Gain: 238m (780′)

Weight Doping: Do what you need to do just don't kill us with your superpowers ;)

Total Distance: Probably 2 laps maybe three. I'll prolly call for a p break at the top of Box Hill 5 mins. (just hit your brakes at the banner...it's obvious. I'll txt. the restart blah blah.

Man, I had to Google what Zwift even was. (Same with Peleton...) Now I'm hep.

Monday my lower body core lift was squat. Thursday my lower body core lift was deadlift. Saturday is supposed to be balmy. I 'might' take out the road bike to hit the local gravel. But that fat bike is calling me into the woods. Oh, decisions!

I'll be repeating Monday and Thursday all Winter. Who's with me?
