Paddles

I'm pretty sure I posted a few photos in a canoe thread, but I'll start this one just for water push sticks.

I've been enjoying making laminated paddles, but in fairly traditional shapes. This one is a recent beavertail, 54" with a center stringer of purple heart, then basswood and cedar. The grip and tip are both cherry, and it's finished with Tung oil.

Lenape inspired Cherry stern paddle. This is my first one piece. Tung is still curing.



Center ridge/ diamond transitions. Beaver tail and elongated grip. 59" and just slightly tip heavy.
