    Default 36mm Tube Block?

    Hey folks,

Does anyone make a 36mm tubing block? I'm starting a double over sized frame build soon and I've got Paragon blocks for everything up to 38mm,but Paragon doesn't make a 36mm block. Does anyone make a block specific for 36mm tubes, or is it possible to just use some 1mm thick shim stock to bring the 38mm down to 36mm? I would just go out and try it in the shop, but I don't have any shim stock right now.

Unless it's a head tube - if so, grab it in your Park stand

Shimming would be fine - I would use a bit of ally plate and anneal it...

If you're not using the block as a critical part of any of your fixtures you could just use a wooden block - it's a matter of moments to make one. (ATMO/IMO this is better practice anyway).

Okay, thanks guys. I will be using this in part of my fixturing, so I guess shimming is probably the way to go.

I bored a 35mm out and shortened it so it fit between TT and DT on smaller bikes.
