I was kind of a fan in elementary school we would make valentines pockets attached to the backs of our chairs. The class would make valentines by hand and slip them into the pockets. My favorites had pink mints glued to the card.

More recently, coming home early from work I'd cover the front yard with hearts on sticks and balloons in the trees. I could do no wrong for at least a few days after that ;)

Yeah, other than my wife I don't think anybody has given me a Valentine's Day card since I was in fourth or fifth grade. There's a decent chance I got one from Joyce Parris and Lorelei Siemen, but I'm not sure if I'm really remembering getting cards from them or just remembering their names from 50 years ago.
