Back when I did LF I had a Wisner 4x5 and a 8 x 10/20 convertible. Amazing cameras. Amazing beautiful objects of functional art. Cherry woodwork, leather bellows, brass gearing and locks.

I had an Ebony 4x5 for a while and that was quite a work of art. Really nice fittings and beautifully veneered lens boards. I like the metal Toyo 45A better as a field camera. Not a pretty camera and on the heavy side but it snapped open decisively and could really take a beating on a multi-day trip.

    That's beautiful.

There's "soul" in LF photos, even the shitty ones and contact prints are so effin' precious!

My Canham MQC 5x7 sits in my closet. Haven't used it for a good amount of time. Could probably afford one of Rody's frame fixtures if I sold the entire kit but I just can't get myself to do it.
