...last nights game was predictable. We're used to this, at least we should be. I grew up watching the Braves go the world series again, and again, and again, and only winning it once. I'm not a football fan, but I watched last nights game 'cause I knew it would be a good game, and it was. But...we should have all known how it was going to end!
And football fans crack up me.
"We played well" - no, you sat on your couch. They played well.
"Georgia was the better team" - no they weren't, they LOST. They got beat by a freshman who hasn't hardly played all season apparently.
On the local radio this morning one of the DJs was whining about Saban, how he hates him, he has "no loyalty to the kids. He has his QB who's been winning games for him all season and they sat him out in the last half and sub'd in a freshman!" - YEAH, AND IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO OBVIOUSLY. Sabans job is lead the team to a win. That's what he did.
The same folks who like to call people 'snowflakes' sure act like snowflakes when it comes to their favorite team.
All that said, it was a fun game to watch, and I hated to see GA lose it like that. I also hated it for the AL kicker who missed what should have been the game winning field goal - I mean, tied game, a few seconds left on the clock, millions of people watching, national championship title on the line, and it all comes down to you and this kick - NO PRESSURE!
