[Too Tall]

Long before you realized that a significant portion of your life would be consumed, nay, saved by bicycle life. When was that and post the earliest picture, clothed please, in your possession.

This is me in Jr. HS with Dad and Gramps. Dad was a larger than life personality, never without a cheap cigar. He asked all the questions if you know what I mean. Grandpa was from the S. Shore of Chicago. Both carried switchblades, one ran in a Jewish gang and sold shoes. Life is precious, cherish every last bit.

I've been in motion on bicycles since the age of five. Barely a day passed without riding, to this day.

I'll play. I used to regularly update the desktop photo of my daughter, tossing the old one in a file folder. There's quite a collection in my desk drawer, stopping with her last school photo in 8th grade.

So this one is the oldest that I'm in. She was just over two months old, and both of us are dressed for my mother-in-law's second marriage. Her husband - a holocaust refugee taken in by Great Britain - died at the age 94 three years ago tomorrow.

I dropped off that cute little infant at Terminal C yesterday morning, so she could head home to DC.

Neither of us fit into those outfits any more:

I've always loved riding a bike, but didn't get serious until she was about eight. There's a vacation photo, somewhere, of her on a buddy bike tethered to my old Gary Fisher Tassajara, me sweating and her yelling for me to stop posing and get peddling...

Dumped training wheels at age 5, lived on my bike until dad brought home mini-bikes at age 9.

Although I always rode bicycles, (Corso was my first “10 speed”, got it in 6th grade), I lived for 2 wheels with motors.

Pictured is my 8th dirt bike in 1977 (kept outgrowing them), a 1976 Honda MR250 Elsinore. I was 15 in the picture.

I still own the MR.

Earliest pic of me that I can find, other than the terribly cute baby pics. This is from circa 1967 with me introducing the then all new Yamaha 350 at my shop in Waikiki.

Wow, 50 years! Those were the days.

The picture quality sucks, but it captures my displeasure with my new bike that was 2X too large. I pushed that AMF up a lot of hills. The only thing I liked about it was the extra speed on descents.

Just noticed the wrist watch and realized I've worn a watch at least since 1967. Might have been born with one.

Cannondale Black Lightning: the first and last alu bike I've ridden although if Jerk or Paul Sadoff gave me a whip I'd throw a leg over the TT to see if anything's changed but she rode harsh
