Sorry if this is covered somewhere else, but Unchained on Netflix is decent enough…the 2022 TdF behind the scenes. I have new found respect respect for Thibaut Pinot, Fabio Jakobsen and quite a few others.

I have been watching as well. I'm enjoying it (I'm through the French Team episode with Pinault), but it hasn't really sucked me in to where I just have to sit and binge it.

The whole Lefevere thing was a bummer way to start without any sort of background on what a piece of $hit he is.

I think if you follow cycling like the group here, his chatter in the early episodes just reaffirm that he's all about himself. Now my sister-in-law who binged the series? He's a patriarch and guardian of his riders, who happens to be French, which makes him cool.

I watched the first 2 episodes and I'm not really into it. I might let it play through in a browser window just because it is about bikes.

I suspect the French would take offence by that misidentification.

Anyway, I've put the series on the list but have yet to start. In the meantime, I read that Van Aert is not terribly pleased about the edits / the way he has been portrayed. Does he come across as an a-hole in the series?

I guess he sort of looks a little selfish for about 5-10 minutes, but then he totally redeems himself on film and looks like the complete team savior all within the same episode.

Agreed…I haven’t finished but so far, a few episodes have made it look like he has a tendency to diss the DS’s game plan (if there is such a thing once the flag drops) in the team bus and do his own thing.

The Bear comes back tomorrow. And I have a beach vacation the first week of July, so looking forward to mini binges for this season of it.

Finished watching. Yeah, he redeems himself although to be honest, I'm not sure if there was any redemption to be done. I realise he got a little sensitive about the edits, but I am sure the internal conflict is very real for every super domestique and, well, any domestique, and more importantly, completely natural. Despite that, he delivered on his role, Vingo acknowledged his contribution in the penultimate stage, everyone's happy.

Anyway, I thought the series was well done and hope to see future editions.

I haven't watched the series, but pursuing both green and yellow jerseys makes internal conflict unavoidable, no?

Speaking of internal conflict: do I need to get back to Ozark? I stopped in season 2.

By internal, I meant within one person, as it happens to characters in some novels, not within a team. Sorry I wasn’t clear.

Getting a big kick out of Loki on Disney. First season started in humor and slowly tightened up into drama and time philosophy. Second season has more drama, some mild humor, and sort of a nebulous slowly emerging time mystery. In a word: fun.

Have I said For All Mankind yet? Really enjoyed. I sort of watched it a while ago - then recently started season 3 and realised I couldn't remember anything so watched Season 2 properly, then 3, then went back to 1 and then 2 again. Season 4 comes out next week on AppleTV so I'm all caught up.

The premise is that the Soviets got to the moon first - and then it's all the little ripples that happened since then that made things different.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

We made the mistake of trying Suits, and now we're too far in to quit before the end. But consider yourselves warned.

I'll be honest, Suits has been a bit of a slog: First off, there are 9 seasons with 16 episodes each, so it's just a ton of TV! More importantly, the acting kinda sucks, and the dramatic arc for every episode is really predictable. The only thing that keeps us returning is that from the 10,000-foot view, the premise is kinda engaging.

Fortunately, we recently hit on another way to make Suits more engaging: We turned it into a drinking game! Now, whenever a character says "goddamn" we take a swig of our favorite adult beverage.
Wife is usually inebriated 20 minutes in to any given episode.

I forgot Loki was back. Will add that to my winter list. Season 1 was fun, especially having binged all the MCU stuff during COVID.

My wife and I are deep into NYPD Blue. We are about to finish the 8th season of 12. And the seasons back then were a full 22 episodes! None of this 5 episode thing the Brits do, or the 10 episode seasons that most Netflix series have.

We have literally watched nothing else... since late May!!

I've been saving up the Lokis. We might start tonight.

We started Gen V on Amazon. I'm only 2 episodes in but if you liked The Boys I think you'll like this.
