Just started Mindhunter. Pretty good! And for Santa Cruzans, the Jury Room is featured several times.

Agreed. Season 2 was no where near as good as Season 1.

After watching all of Space 1999, I can recommend The Invaders instead. The first season of Space 1999 had a bunch of good ideas, but season 2 got really weak.

We're working our way through Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown, never watched any of his stuff before. Didn't realize just how good it was and what we were missing!

Also, a new (to me) cycling documentary on Netflix - Pedal The World. German guy rides around the world (kinda). Sandals, no helmet. It's interesting, but not a great flick IMO.

Wild Wild Country is another documentary on Netflix, it's very well done, and worth watching. What a crazy story!!! An Indian sex cult takes over a town in Oregon, builds an army, poisons the town, plans to kill people, crazy stuff.

    Orange is the new black..
Got back to watching and it´s the most outrageous dialog i ever witnessed on TV. No one can make a women in prison piece or even any gay lesbian movie and surpass Orange in it´s anarchist, anti social drive.
Whomever wrote these scenes is borderline genius/ sick. It´s all gay insider jokes w/ a no prisoner sensibility.
    slow.

I grew tired of the male voyeurism of lesbian sex which was clearly a marketing ploy of Netflix.

Naaahh... there is almost no sex in the series. It´s mostly camp humour turned to 11. Male voyeurism has nothing to do w/ Orange is the New Black... even the title makes it clear it´s camp humour.

it's exceedingly rare that my professional training has anything to do with the stuff we talk about on VS, but this is one case where I'll stick to my what my gut tells me. The first season or so were fresh, but as it dragged on, there were a few decent story lines and just gratuitous scenes for consumption.

Target audience if there is any is gay... It´s so nihilistic and wild, it feels borderline delinquent.

Horrible start but some terrific sendup comedy and Tina Fey makes a few appearances which is always good.

I've been watching Forged in Fire on the history channel. Each week 4 people forge knives under the clock trying to win $10k.

+1 on Lost in Space. The strength of the Molly Parker character makes up for Will.

Starting on Babylon Berlin. So far interesting. About six episodes in and still figuring out where it’s going.

    Top notch rec!

A few things that have been floating across our screen lately..

Million Pound Menu - Fun, semi-competitive restaurateurs vying for funding in London. Very well done and interesting/insightful. Not haute cuisine and not the height of television, but solid (we watch it while cooking and take bets on who will get the funding, loser does the dishes)

Orange is the New Black - The new season is pretty raw and keeps you guessing

Ozark - Dark, brilliant, brooding. Great acting, very moody cinematography and an incredible script

Handmaid's Tale - If you haven't watched this, and you've got the stomach for some dark sh*t, it is very, very well done. The second season continues where the book ended and is, while at times a bit too real, very good social commentary

+1 for Lost in Space - Pretty low brow TV but very entertaining if not a bit predictable

We watched the whole season of Insatiable on Netflix. It's....eh, it has it's moments, but by the last few episodes it was like "we've come this far, might as well finish it."

It's set in GA, in some suburbs of ATL, so it's basically set where I grew up. I definitely know many of the "characters".

The new Orange is the New Black is awesome! We're a few episodes in on that one.
