Tom Cruise knows how (thanks to Kubrick) to act w/ minimal gestures and expressions. When he finds good material and a good director his movies flow w/ grace even w/ his robotic presence and lack of sex appeal. I thought he was good as a producer but this one is just unbelievably bad: even if you give a pass on the cliches, the story reveals nothing about the character Jack Reacher. Worse, you don't buy the action, it's badly narrated. Everybody seems dumb and psychotic in this movie.
