Default Matching Waterford proprietary paint color--anybody know a generic color?

I'm sending a customer's Waterford frame to the painter. He wants a Waterford proprietary color called "baby Blue Moon," a kind of Rene-Hersey looking light gloss blue. I have asked Waterford and it's a house color, not a PPG or other standard color. Has anybody matched this? Yes, I know Waterford could repaint it--he doesn't want to spend that much $.
    Thanks

    David,

Though there are many custom mixes and "house colors", many are easily reproduced when starting with the correct base.

Can you provide some detailed pictures of the color you are trying to achieve?

    cheers,

Waterford will sell you a bottle of their paint for about $30. I did that on an "anniversary black" Paramount resto. I bought two bottles and had some leftover. It was some kind of enamel, not a two-part paint. You could shoot the frame in a close match color, then shoot a single bottle of the Waterford paint over the top before decals and clearcoat, and be dead-on for color.

    Good luck!

    David,

Lacking your response, I was able to find some pics of the hue.

Go to your local paint shop and check out PPG DBC 11770...pretty darn close given computer screen variance.

This standard base should give your painter an excellent foundation to custom tint if necessary, guaranteed to work with existing standard materials and processes.

    cheers,
