Default What wine for turkey day?

What will you drink and serve your guests with the thanksgiving feast ??

Probably some pinot noir and beaujolais at our house, and fortunately we have several very largely stocked wine stores to go wander around and pick out a few modestly priced bottles for the table. what about you fine folks.

Also - Happy thanksgiving to all here. The fact that we can frequent bicycle forums speaks a bit to what we all have to be thankful for.

Oregon Pinot Noirs from the Dundee Hills, Chehalem and Ribbon Ridge AVA's atmo.
There will be calories consumed that will take weeks to undo; Months even. Bring on the feast and Happy Thanksgiving to all of the Salon.

Concur. I think Oregon Pinots have the upper hand in our house this year as well.

Although some of the lighter California Central Coast or Sonoma Pinots might be in rotation as well.

For a little village in Northern Westchester, we have 3 spectacular little wine shops each with their own distributors, so we get to experiment a lot these days.

I'm glad to see that you boys are speaking of this wine in the plural and not the singular. Try a bunch and enjoy.

If people ask, I tell them Pino Grigio and they usually bring something with a bicycle on the label...sigh.

    Champagne. It's a holiday.

I hope you're right. I know nothing about wine, but went to the store tonight to get some. The Oregon PNs must be getting some press or reviews because even my local mom and pop shop had a whole section committed to these wines.

At our house we drink our own wine. (Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards)

Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Chardonnay, Viognier, and whatever else we have this year.
