    Default rattleCAD 3.4.05

    Hi there,

rattleCAD 3.4.05 is out now. you can get it on sourceforge.
    rattleCAD - Browse /3.4.5 at SourceForge.net

there is also a specific install package for MacOs. You can get it at gumroad
    https://gumroad.com/l/ETCvw
In difference to the free rattleCAD (rattleCAD - Bicycle FrameBuilding CAD - Home) this package additionally contains a install package for MacOS.
The price represents the additional expense for the MacOS installation package. It shortens your and my working hours and - it depends - for the price of one or two beer.

    enjoy using rattleCAD

One thing I struggle with is how to add new elements. For example, I have an SVG file for my logo that I would like to be able to use. Also, the Paragon dropouts would be awesome to have available. Even if I had to create the files to use, I can't figure out where to save them so the software can find them.

Thanks again for a very useful tool.

    .
there is a place in your project-folder of rattleCAD, named "components". there are subdirectories specified for bottleCAD, brake, ...

for problems generating your component/logo-files feel free to contact me via sourceforge or use this wiki-page:

I might be totally missing it... but is there a way to check seat stay vs tire clearance like the chainstay tab?

Hi, it is not planned in the current versions.
Is this a big issue for you?

it would be nice. knowing the bends required, disc brake clearance and possibly the cut template for the chainstay. with short seat tubes, the seat stays can require some pretty tight bends, especially so the larger the tire is.

It's been awhile. I've got my first frame project that I'm getting back to, so I downloaded the newest version of rattlecad, 4.0. Right out of the box, I can't find how to switch to the lug design mode that was available in 3.x versions. Anyone have insight here?

    Thanks in advance

... this feature was not really accurate and I would have to redesign it.
... let me think about this

    Hello there,

I'd like to try out CAD to make my framebuilding sketches. Actually I run on Linux mint. Is it possible to run RattleCAD on it ?

    Thank you.

    Hello Manfred
Thank you. It seems my browser was not showing the link.
I'm trying the free version before to get the private one. Is there any tutorial before I spent a couple of hours being familiar with it ?
