Default Low Mount Disc Dropout Modification

I really like the look of Paragons www.paragonmachineworks.com - DR2034SteelFrameComponentsforLowMountDiscDropoutNo Eyeletsorderhangerseparately low mount disc dropouts. I really want to use them on a road bike build for myself. However, I still want to use my rim brakes. Have any of you cut off the disc brake eyelets and smoothed the profile to match the drive side dropout? By looking at Paragons drawings it looks like this might be possible, I just want to make sure there is enough meat left. Thoughts?

I can't see why it would be a problem. I would clamp the two together and remove the eyelets so that you have two symmetrical dropouts. I'd also knock off about .5" (or a little more) from the tab to shorten it up.
