Default -- mindfulness.., bodybuilding for my brain with a smile..

-- i'm calmer, more focused, and doing my best to be nicer to people around me..
"doing some body building for my brain.."

my goal is to have my body and mind in the same place at the same time..
just take a few short minutes to to sit and "focus on my breath.."
sure helps this old codger to less stress and calm down..

I know I found a huge difference in my focus and stress when I got a regular yoga practice going. A large part of that was just clearing the mind and breathing. I felt more "in the moment". Gotta get that going again.

Does anyone on the forums practice any mindfulness meditation? Zazen, Vipassana, etc?

Simply, what I do is think about a stressful situation that occurred. Scan my body and feel the point of stress physically manifesting and monitoring my body til those phyiscal points disappear. It truly amazing the transformation that occurs and how stress situations become things of the past.

    I met Ed.

One of my favorite Ed quotes is:

    Pushing-pulling.

    Cycling as walking-meditation.
