Default New color to Carbon fiber fork

    Hey guys,

    Toying with a question here.

While not a frame builder, I do a lot of build/refurbs/rebuilds.

Dude wants to change color of his frame fork on a 14 y/o GIANT TCR-1. Frame is aluminum, and fork is carbon fiber.

I have a metal guy lined up to media blast and powder coat the frame, but how does one safely remove the factory paint from a carbon fiber fork so it can be re-colored/coated? I've never had anyone ask me this. Can it be done, or is it going to be a "light sanding cover old color" job?

    Thanks, and Cheers!
