Re: Do you stop and take time to be alone?
I will add two more things.
1) Awesome dogs rule and are great "alone" companions.
2) While I love being "alone" for small bouts of time, I don't do well with long term alone time. If the wife and kid goes to Brazil for a few weeks or a month without me - I have a hard time doing meaningful things - I pace, I move things around, I fiddle with unnecessary things. I mentally feel very busy but busy doing nothing.
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
