I've mentioned this elsewhere but a friend is working on larger versions of things like these for transporting goods, medicines, tools, food to remote areas of Africa. The goal is to connect large numbers of people who are impoverished by geography and disconnected from very basic resources. Their machines will be called Flying Donkeys. Everyone thinks of drones as military killing machines, but they have profound potential for humane operations.

That sounds like a valuable and clever use of UAV'S
