Default Recommend a lunch box, please

I've gotten too old for the metal Dukes of Hazzard lunchbox, so it's time to upgrade.

    Looking for something that's:
    - segmented - I eat a lot of meat-and-twos/beans and cornbread/sandwich and fruit
    - leakproof - super important
    - reasonably narrow - ideally something that that would fit in a briefcase
    - not oppressively expensive, since I'll probably buy two to keep from washing every day
    - dishwasher/microwave safe

The Rubbermaid Lunch Blox looked to be right up my alley, but I fondled them at Target and just don't see them being leakproof. So what else are y'all toting to work every day? Thanks in advance.

I've been looking into this also - was leaning towards the Bentgo (Bentgo - The All-in-one Stackable Bento Lunch Box Solution) but am not sure how leakproof they are.

I pack lunch for myself and my wife in monbento boxes. They are one of the few bento boxes that are dishwasher and microwave safe and adult size. They are also reliably leak proof. They are also not cheap. Bu I love mine.

spopepro- Thanks for the recommendation. I'd looked at the Bentgo that zetroc mentioned, but the reviews weren't great, leak-wise. That might be just the ticket. Do you find it's big enough? Like, not 130-pound cyclist big enough, but dude-who-mentions-cornbread-in-his-OP big enough?

ZnM - That's... something. At $75 for the adult size on amazon, I could just call a cab to deliver my lunch to work every day.

Yep, big enough. I actually only took half of it the other day filled 3/4 with jambalaya and 1/4 with mashed sweet potatoes. The bento rule of thumb is 1ml = 1cal, but that assumes more typical bento lunches. As long as something in there is somewhat calorie dense, it's easy to pack plenty.

I just grabbed some Systema stuff from the grocery store. It's made in Kiwi land so it's surely 99.99% perfect, +-1%. Today would've been my first day commuting with it, but it decided to sleet an inch last night. I did use it yesterday, however, and am happy to say the ranch dressing did not leak in my bag.

They make our waterbottles. Rumour is the plastic contains ground-up hobbit bones.
