thats why brady is better than manning.

I went to bed after the first half. That was a mistake apparently. I was stunned when I saw the Patriots had won.
(Matt Flynn > Scott Tolzien > Seneca Wallace) < Aaron Rodgers. The Packers desperately need him back, but Flynn, the prodigal son, has returned to Green Bay and hopefully can lead the team for another couple weeks. He didn't do much in Seattle or Oakland or Buffalo (did he take a single regular season snap?) but boy did he play well in Green Bay when he played.
Injuries are decimating the NFL. It is currently at its peak and will have trouble one day. Mark my words. If I had young children I don't know if I'd let them play tackle football.
La Cheeserie!
we will see football go the way of boxing within the next 25 years. Advertisers will pull out, moms will not let their kids play, smaller and/or unsuccessful colleges will stop offering football (no revenue, potential for law suits down the road).
that being said: that was pretty cool.
ESPN is now broadcasting high school football games. The big programs will get bigger at every level. Too much money involved. Roger Goodell and the league owners are corporate America. Don King and the rest of the hucksters is what killed boxing.
I think something is wrong with Manning. He played like crap for a third of the game but not all at once. Those floaters he threw. The only reason they were not intercepted is that I think they were confusing to everyone. The gloves? The cold? The gloves and the cold? I wonder if something else is going on, like the dead arm a pitcher gets sometimes. Some sort of nerve thing from his neck surgery. He certainly threw passes with zip during the game, but then there were those yips. Just very curious performance.
Brady is the coolest. He is one of the best at making something from nothing. We'll see if that gets them there this year.
Manning is not a good cold weather QB and often does not throw a tight spiral. I know he's football smart and has super fast progressions and release but he throws wounded ducks as often as not
Still the most fun to watch in the NFL since Brett Favre decided to drive tractors and ride bikes.
La Cheeserie!
The cold explains a lot about Peyton's performance yesterday. Did yousee him on the sideline? No can handle.
The high ankle sprain probably has a lot to do with it as well. Sitting back there all immobile while his targets are covered has to be stressful. He was in dire fear of getting hit hard a lot.
Tailwinds are favorable in both cycling and football.
Glorious. Manning is the most over-hyped, over glorified football player of all time. I've never seen such an anti-clutch performer get so many accolades. NBC did a graphic last night comparing the pro-bowlers (offense and defense) that Brady and manning have played with. It wasn't even close. Manning has had more weapons around him by 2 to 1. All of the network dopes and espn robots are too petrified to ever say it, but it's true. Brady vs. Manning isn't really close.
... not to mention how that man-whore has never turned down an endorsement. Brady does appear to be a little more .... discriminating.
Tara Reed...not so much.
i have to say i was pissed a few weeks ago when that peckerhead pile drove aaron rodgers into the ground and broke his collarbone.
obviously intended to injure him.
reminder it is a brutal sport. they dont penalizes the thugs enough.
that guy should have gotten a 10 game suspension at least.
only way to teach these thugs.
Just like cycling suspensions. They won't be effective until they really, really hurt and go further up the chain. The Saints got penalized pretty hard last year for hurting Favre when he played for the Vikings. That investigation had as much to do with the play that probably ended Favre's career as anything.
I watch football because it's actually a pretty cool, nuanced game with lots of things going on at the same time. I don't watch it to see people get hurt. I get that it's a hard, physical game and people can get get, but not when getting hurt is the goal of the game. It's the fighting in the NHL that turns me off. It's the same as pro wrestling when the fighting exists to egg on the crowd. Olympic hockey is way better.
Yeah, his injury sucks. But he never complained. I hope Flynn carries the team on Thursday.
La Cheeserie!
Better ingredients, worse football...Papa Petyon's
I like college better, but that's not this thread. Doesn't hurt live near OH State.
