    Default Cool tools worth sharing

Sometimes you stumble across something that seems so clever - that it must be outed...

This one I saw the other day while looking at images of stay crimping on Flickr - from salonista Halekai. In place of a dynafile...

Full description on his flickr site...

    I'm excited to try this.

    Any other jems out there?

Bookmarked for later incorporation into my shop. Nice find.

thats pretty neat but you boys and girls mind your undercuts with that. not calling it inevitable, just very possible.

My Dad is a talented man with his own Bridgeport mill & metal lathe. I provided him some basic design specs & he machined this ultra-torque bearing puller for me. Works a treat!

dragonsalon.jpgWell my Bassett Hound, Dragon, is dying in my arms. Cancer of the adrenals, inoperative. I am as sad as I have ever been in my life. But opening this thread and seeing something I made labeled as ingenious or some such made me laugh outloud. Thank you.

It doesnt take the place of a dyna-file more in place of emory cloth. There really is no danger at all of undercutting your steel with this. The edges wear quickly and laeve a nice feathering edge. I made two of them, one .5" and one .25". I use them where appropriate. Also I use blue tape on my thumb and it only sands right where you have pressure.

I'm really sorry to hear about the Dragon. I'm watching my 9yo kid wrastle with our pit mix. It's a wonderful sight. Dogs are such good pals.

Sorry about Dragon, we just had to put down our 14yo girl Basset Daisy this summer. She was the sweetest, most obnoxious dog ever.
