    Default DIY Stereo Stand

Sorry for posting this but I searched all of the audio threads I could think of for the stand that I believe was Britishbane's and I've come up with nothing. It used three all thread posts with nuts and washers to secure each wood shelf if that helps.

Threaded rod racks are classic DIY. While we wait for Mr, Bane to post a picture, here is a link to a different style rack. Nice job with simple materials:

Anyone have good plans for a DIY audio rack?

I guess I should have googled it first. This is the one I was thinking of.

That's funny. I actually came up with a similar idea a few years ago using threaded rod. I never built it though. That one looks good and pretty simple.

Yup, thats the one. No need to post my meager effort as there are many better looking examples to be found. I went a bit overboard and used 3/4'' baltic birch and half inch rods. You can do it much cheaper with MDF or less substantial materials (1/2'' was/is way too big). But I'll be damned if that birch isn't good looking and a super solid base for my turntable. Also, the design called for tripod like legs, I went with four as I think it looks better.

Mine is pretty basic, just two shelves (originally intended for three but never got around to it) with a washer and nut on each side of the shelf. Some used leather or rubber washers too, but I never felt the need.
