    Default September worm apocalypse

What's with the fucking worms!!?? The last two Septembers the roads around here are absolutely covered in worms, to the point where whole sections of road are more green/brown than blacktop. It smells like a fish truck tipped over and its contents are rotting in the sun. My bike has at least twenty dead, ripped apart worms stuck to it after every ride. This morning I was hitting so many (not on purpose, believe me) I was actually getting hit in the face with worm parts. Are they all headed to the great worm breeding ground that is apparently on the other side of every road? Any worm experts here?

He clearly doesn't want me riding my bike. No sign of the coyotes, cat is healthy and only going outside on a very limited basis and the boys next door have been keeping it under wraps for the most part.

worms or caterpillars? Take a picture of the critters, post it and I will explain in great detail what is happening. Internet entomology is my new thing.

it's because of the recent hard rain. brings them to the surface, then they get squashed by the cars.
