Default Looking for someone who can inspect and possible repair a steel fork

I have a customer who is planning on restoring his 1973 Schwinn. However there is a crack in what appears to be a chrome plated press on for crown. I can include images if this might help. The goal is to have the fork and frame refinished and be safe to use. Please feel free to post suggestions ideas or private message me. Thanks.

Sounds like a fork crown race that's cracked? If so, just buy a new headset, but figure out why it cracked first...
