I rode up behind a black Taycan at a traffic light yesterday. Nice looking car. Wide.

A silver/black 993 C2S with ~60k miles sold on BaT last week for 171K. You can probably make a lot more than 30K if you still have it.

My post is old, yes I can make a whole lot more than $30K and I still have it and planning to keep it and drive it as I can't really thing of a better car :)

My new 991.1. Purchased it yesterday! Such a fun machine. Looking forward to taking it out on the winding Driftless Area roads :)

And this, auction guidance around $1.2mm

This was my favorite in the auction tho

But my dream Porsche is a Kermit green early 70s Targa all day long.

Both of you Mokes have good taste. After owning a 911s (2008) for six years and having way too much fun I came to a conclusion. That d@mn thing was too fast and capable, it was almost too good. Autocross was a joke, 911s are just not great at that. Road racing on the other hand is transcendent.
All that said, if I ever "do it again" I'm with Matt. I'd find a 70's Targa, underpowered and about the most gorgeous thing on wheels. Rowing that thing around a RR course or on backroads would be just right.
Basically, I was p!ssed off that Miatas are so fast around corners ;)

Yeah, long hoods and older 911 are nice but they are old shitty cars at the end of the day :)

I would have opt’ed for something less offensive. Like growing a mullet.

I will admit to spending way too much time on BringATrailer but hey I'm retired. I loved this modded 1974 911. Huge $$

well something quite the opposite is this 918 that sold for $1.55M. Lately lots of Porsche showing up BaT including an '05 Carrera GT with 250 miles (sold for $2M) and currently a 959 that is headed towards $2M. What I dont understand is mid 90s Toyota Supras going for 6 figures

But the 959 is still not street legal in the US. So you are limited to how much you can drive them for display....
But 2mm for a car that sold back in the 80's for $225k, not bad... although you'd done better with 225k of MSFT (0,54 to 336) or AAPL (0.32 to 171 ) . . .

Yeah but MSFT and AAPL shares do not really help in setting up your money laundering scheme as much as art and vintage cars.
