What's your process for keeping these paint jobs safe between shop and ship? Makes me a little nervous just looking at 'em.

As a recipient of one of those sweet Zukas painted bikes, I can tell you that his packing is awesome. The bike was almost fully built, well wrapped and zip-tied to the carton in a way that it would be impossible for stuff to shift around. The paint was flawless after unpacking. I then proceeded to abuse the bike and put chips in it right away, which is how it should be treated.

2nd. They're pretty, but not fragile. I've posted this before, but I'll post it again. First ride on mine:

Dustin. Did you just fall over into that? Seriously standing water and muddy bottom --can't see it working out too well :)

Nah, it's rideable! The bottom is a little soft, but it's firm enough that if you hit it with reasonable speed you'll make it to the other side. What you don't want to do is try to cross slowly in an attempt at staying dry...I've seen that not work well for folks haha.

Lots of foam pipe insulation and bubble wrap! I zip tye eveything down to the box to keep things from flying around during the "extra" handling!

Nate - I've got a friend with a carbon frame that needs the clear coat refreshed. Paint is fine, just chips in the clear.
Is this something you can/would do? Since we're in ATL, I suggested you although I wasn't sure if this was something you worked with.

    thanks,

    Hi Nate,
Last weekend I went on a bikepacking trip into the country side.
Riding along a road with absolutely no one around, I bumped into Jay on his Zukas! Total coincidence that we were there at the same time.

Bike is going excellent. Could not be happier.

    Took a photo for you!

    Hope you are well,
    Vincent

Short shop tour with a finished steel Gravel/Dirt road frame. Would love to have a larger space but I'm thankful for what I have. Also would like to thank the few here that have trusted me to build their frame. It takes a lot of faith and understanding to have someone very small like me take your money for a deposit then you wait. Then its time to go through the design process, see it built through social media-FNL/Smoked out, hopefully top it off with my paintwork, and then pay the balance. Thank you for your trust in me!

Thank You! Its actually quite fun laying these down. Especially knowing that you won't have to file and sand them!
