    Default strats

thanks to all those unloaded wheels, got a american vintage '57. fender was blowin em out at half price.

really dig the character of the pickups. soft v neck is the shit. the bridge-middle "cluck" on this one is really special.

15 years of a tele, I forgot how fun and light a good strat is

what about the pictures? Now is this a fender Redux or did you just acquire a 55 year old axe?

They were spectacular in every detail. Was always more into Gibson's (ES 335, 345, 325) but could see the Beauty in Fender's Beast. As an aside, the 325 was a cheaper plywood top, the bottum of the Gibson line, but mine had the most beautiful neck and was loved by everyone who ever touched it. The best instrument I have ever owned.

its the '57 vintage series...so made sometime in 2012.

got 11-49 with a wound g, tremolo flat on the body. put on the new pickguard and dropped in the 5-position switch. the bridge pickup really kicks it.

    Bitd I had a black, right-handed Strat with a white pick guard that I played left-handed (wonder why)—it was probably a late '60's model. Wish I hadn't sold it. That's a beauty!

    OOooooo, that's nice, Doof.
So you like the V neck compared to the Tele? If you don't mind, could you expain a bit more?

We got a 2012 American Standard Tele in the house this past Christmas ('twas the deal of a lifetime), but now another one of us is looking @ Jags or a Jazzmaster.
...or a Baja Tele w/that neck.
We'll see how it all goes...GAS is a b1tch. This weather has us playing guitars and stuff more than riding the rollers, if you know what I mean.

I like the '52 AVRI neck the best -- I love big ol baseball bat necks

I'm still getting used to the soft V, but it's growing on me. I tend to thumb wrap a lot, and it's a good neck for that.

we need more strat porn pics
