Todd, that’s a bummer. Just when you thought you where almost done. However there is no job worth doing if it’s not done right. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Shipped This way by FARR Frameworks, on Flickr

Simply Line up the T-nut between the dowel pins and insert the handle.

Then there is a theoretical mark that has been calculated from CAD. When this is lined up with the top of the block the BB 0 should be accurate. However I'm assuming that all Bringheli's are not created equal, so if you need to offset the value up or down do so using this line. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the kind words everybody! It really means a lot to me! Because there has been so much interest on the front end as well this will be my next project after I finish up the orders I have in house. I want to get a small discussion going on what kinda things you are looking for. Is everyone just looking for a solution to split the front end into separate cones, or would you pay a bit more to have the front end quickly set to the X-Y dimension of the frame?

    Thanks - Todd

Todd, I've used this jig quite a bit, and the biggie is the thru-rod on the head tube. If you pin, the rod gets in the way. If you get a bit of flux on the rod, it's a bear to get the cones off. Measuring is the easy part. Just some thoughts.

Thanks Craig I appreciate your input. Yeah that's the nicest thing about my front end mod that I'm using right now. I'm gonna go back a redesign it so that it's more cost effective for other users. The problem with mine current setup is because I built it for myself I didn't really care about design for manufacture or how much labor went into it. Now designing for others I want to keep costs down but still provide a better solution, while making sure a majority of the needs are met! I think if I just get rid of the rods and cones we will all be in good shape yeah?

    Thanks - Todd

Yes, like Craig said, measuring the x/y isn't that hard, my main goal would be to get rid of the rod/cone set-up. It is awkward and time-consuming to use at best, and it interferes with pinning and can get stuck from flux/heat.

2 cents from the hobbyist here, anything to avoid the rod and cone setup is a flying leap in the right direction. Purge-friendly pucks would be nice as well.

Input appreciated! Should have some initial designs for you guys up here by tomorrow or Wednesday!
Thanks for the support everyone - it's really awesome making the leap, going out on my own, and not having to "look" for work. Between FARR Frameworks & PRESTA Automation it seems I'll be busy for the foreseeable future.

    Back from the dead....
Both front and rears (as well as lug vises) will be back in stock by early December.

Rear Features a few minor changes, most of which are styling related... However due to some feedback from the last run, this features a better way to adjust for the inconsistencies of the C-Channel width from Bringheli to Bringheli. It also features another pointer engraving mark if you want to put another scale on the top of the C-Channel for quicker setup of CS length.

Gearing up for another run of the rears, followed by a first run of fronts. If your interested in either hit me up through the website. #Bringheli #framejig #farrframeworks by FARR Frameworks, on Flickr

And here is the all new Front End. Angle and Slide are separated adjustments and rod has been removed. It comes with pucks for 44mm, 1.125 & 1.000 Headtubes.

Limited run of 5 of these bad boys coming up to replace the front end on Bringheli jigs. #framejig #Bringheli #farrframeworks #framebuilding by FARR Frameworks, on Flickr

Where are you guys getting the metric measuring tapes that read both positive and negative? For example, the tape for BB drop below.

I've found this stuff, from Kreg, but it isn't available (that I've found) with both positive and negative on the same tape. I'd have to splice two pieces together, which isn't the end of the world, but one piece would be nice.

Btw Todd, your fixture mods look really nice.
