    Default Friday PicFest No.195

    Hi Everyone,

Here are some photos of Fraser's 4-Seasons Stainless frameset. It's built for use with long reach brakes and with room for fenders & etc. The shiny logo areas are the polished stainless tubes showing through. This bike was inspired by one that I worked on with V'Salon Member Ben last spring, and took to Nahbs.

Thank you for taking a look!

    Dave

Back home after the first Australian Custom Bike Show, what a weekend!

Great turn out, great to meet the other builders and awesome support for my work

Displayed this road bike that I built for my little brother, had been keeping it under wraps till the show.

Spent the week finishing up my tooling.

Scales are all finished on the Bringheli

Mounted my BB Post to my surface plate

It's a little small, but for $80 I'm not complaining, and I'm sure I'll manage.

Flavor of the month: I grabbed this off ebay. It is structurally in great condition and will go to the paints soon. Up for sale in spring.

The DR caught a spoke and split the DO:

    Now good again.

This is what happens when someone just grabs a hacksaw and starts cutting:

blue frame is the 1st frame only in quite awhile, off to SLC - dig the color.
Then, I built a new bike for Mrs Garro, a 650B x 120mm Fox fork, it's going to be a sweet build.
    The Mrs has three 650B's, a 26" and a 700c.
    Just building right along.

    Proto_metal.jpg

Metal work for Prototype #1 (almost) complete - seat stay ferrules come later. The odd looking surface is because it's been abraded, cleaned and etched prior to bonding the next phase.

    Proto_metal_detail.jpg

These double wall ferrules were a b%^&* to do. If any silver leaks in it's a double b%^&* 'cause it's really hard to clean out and it must be completely cleaned out for bond prep.
