Time is becoming sparse leading up to the ACBS, have been working on a lot, but taking photos of little.

Got an image from the painter of one of the frames that I will be displaying. Here is a teaser:

Nam, for our daughter Julie who's making her way home from Namibia after 3.5 years in the Peace Corps. Long time in the making, and sometimes put on the back burner, finally cobbled together with parts on hand.

    Finished up practice frame #4.

Final alignment check. Fun with frame alignment metrics here.

Back in the fixture to check against the design specs. More info here.

    Destructive testing!

    TT/HT joint post test.

Looking good except for one little void at the top of the DT/HT joint. That was a bit of a bummer. I also want to work more towards building a nice little internal fillet.

All in all the practice frame process has been super informative. I might just keep the next one...

Running very late this week. Dave W picked up his Stoater this week. We put the hours into this one. Beltdrive, Rohloff, internal dynamo routing, internal USB charger routing, Jones bars, 3 different front racks and machined fixings for lights and racks.
