    So clueless, it's a painful read: https://road.cc/content/buyers-guide...n-lubes-256783.

Toots, send these kids some samples and straighten them out. That said, they may be interested only in things currently available at UK retailers...

I heard that rumor. Nice, very nice. That crew is fun to ride bikes with and bust nuts. I'll look for the mention.

I will add here that I only recently re-started my subscription to Bicycling. That process was a total PITA but the magazine has been impressive.

New ownership is 1000% digital aware which made a huuuge difference in content. Knuckledraggers bemoan loss of validated racing content buy heyyyyy it's all about selling ink baby.

I like the new format, it reads like a scrolling IG feed ;)

Headline: The Green Genie is da shit. Get it even if you already have one of the other NFS lubes.

My totally unscientific observation thus far is that the Green Genie performs noticeably better than Toot's previous products. I didn't think this was possible, BUT the drive train is noticeably smoother AND shifting is also noticeably smoother.

The weather has been pretty dry here the last couple of months, and I'll need to wait until winter in order to put it through some proper crap conditions. However, a 120 km on mixed surface in light rain seemed to go unnoticed by the drive train.

And, yeah, so it's bio. There is virtually no odor. Put it on your skin, and it'll soften it up. @Tom Kellogg mentioned a while back about NFS for chamois, and the Green Genie might actually do it. (I haven't tried it yet as arse butter.)

In conclusion, the best got better.

Bob, I've been working on a Biodegradable bicycle chainlube for a long time. The first itteration was not bad, it worked very well however was not as durable as I'd hoped. Green Genie is a final product, it's perfect.

I've placed the product with some folks who are avid riders, not afraid of the rain or telling me the plain truth. Hype is one thing, real world truths from good folks whom we know is another thing.

Look for a Fall launch of the product. Meantime, I'll trade bottle for IPAs and good vibes.

If you have more questions, just fire away.

I'm one of the lucky guinea pigs that was gifted a bottle of the V1 after I whinged about the discontinuation of Ne Plus Ultra. I'm a fan! I haven't seen how it works in wet conditions as we've been praying for rain in Cali since April but I will say that it's great stuff for my daily East Bay 60/40 mixed terrain rides where the offroad fire roads and trails include a lot of dry fine powder that gets kicked up from the front wheel and coats the drive train with sticky clay loam dust in just a few miles. The V1 bio seems a little less viscous than NFS but it wipes off super clean, even better than the original. Love it as a "dry" (sic) lube. We're in an unprecedented drought, even saving graywater from the sink in a bucket for our veggie garden and I can't justify the H20 to wash a bike these days, so a 2-3X weekly wipe of the drivetrain is all it's gotten for months, and all it needs. I can't speak for wet and muddy conditions, but two thumbs up for dry and dusty!

Ta da :) I'm really really (gasp) REALLY proud of this. Without the calm and persistent support from others this product never would have happened. I gave G.G. to people all over the world and for the past year have been collecting only rave reviews. Heck I even gave it to hard core riders who were out most days thru a Canadian winter and they loved it.

There are some really cool reasons to use G.G. First is that it has a extremely low impact on the environment and if you are the least bit sensitive to odors G.G. is going to deliver. The bad news is that G.G. is crazy quiet and your raggedy @rse worn out chainrings are going to sing so don't blame me ;)

    Super stoked about this. -J

That's awesome, Josh. Look forward to trying it. I'm sure I'll be through my two bottles of the OG NFS in no more than 5 years.

I'm one of those folks whom TT has been leaning on for testing of GG. Biggest drawback: I can't smell it (so it can't be good). But it is good. Freaky good. Typically, reapplication under dry (of a bit dusty) conditions runs about 350 miles. Whipedown after every ride (when I remember). Riding in "weather" and reapplication in more like 250 miles. Kind of like I have come to expect, way better for real riders in the real world than anything else. Go TT and NFS.

No local shop carrying NFS (yet)? Problem solved: The load 'o lube arrived today and is being distributed to a host of new NFS users.
Josh is a definite "supplier" ; ) I'm but an intermediate "pusher"
