KIck me if this is drifting your thread, but this is the site of a local guy who does some pretty hands on work. I cannot say that I know him well, but I hhave heard him speak a couple of time and he seems like a good guy who is down with handmade. He has two sites, one is for his press works, the other is for his book authoring stuff.
