    Recently did a screening of Kill List with a bunch of friends. They had a blast.

    I warned them not to read any reviews or comments made about the movie. It's impossible to describe without ruining it.

    You seen Looper? If you like Primer it is well worth a watch. Hella of a bigger budget and hella of a lot less complicated though. I think the Primer guys are about to release a new film as well.

    The Station Agent. Peter Dinklage is a wonderful actor who's often sold short and there is absolutlely NO pun intended.

    Others on my short list include:

    Belle Epoque (Fernando Trueba 1992)
    Until The End Of The World (Wim Wenders 1991)
    Double Indemnity (Billy Wilder 1944)

    Big Love for many films already mentioned. My favorite Fabulous Big Ambitious Mess Of An Amercian Film;

    McCabe and Mrs. Miller.

    Oh..and has anyone else here ever seen or even heard of "How To Get Ahead In Advertising"? Did I dream that....?

    Also, just watched, (again) the Japanese, (original) version of the "The Ring"..just titled "Ring" in Japan. The Japanese do spooky very well. They understand Ghosts.

    If docs are in play, I recently rewatched A Brokedown Melody (A Brokedown Melody (2004) - IMDb) and I particularly enjoy the scenes where they let the camera linger rather than cutting away. One early in the show, Slater in gold shorts riding off the shoulder of a wave--and riding and riding. Great shot.

    Also watched Senna yesterday (Senna (2010) - IMDb). Excellent, even though I knew how it would end. I was a Prost fan during the early 90s but this show changed my feelings about Ayrton's role. I was not aware of the, shall we say, cozy friendship between Alain and the head of the FIA.
