Ports are polished. Has a fresh clutch. With a breathy exhaust should make 160-170 at the wheel. Will happily pass on the insurance cost to a home that'll make it fuckin' rad.

How about doing something like this?

(He gives it a bit of gas and shows some acceleration at about 2:40 of the second video)

I thought you were going to tell me to put it in a Ural.

Saw a video a while back where they'd stuffed one of these into a Smartcar... Hilarity.

The bikes come inside. Why not the moto? I'd totally do it if I had the access. Okay, and the permission from the mrs...

Quick follow up on my Speed Triple saga.

I did 2 mileage test for oil consumption.

500 miles consumed 400ml first test
400 miles consumed 500ml second test

Bike is in the shop (should be interesting for how long) and they did a wet compression test which showed signs of oil getting past the piston so we either have bad pistons/rings or a cylinder sleeve problem.

Doesn't sound like an easy fix. Engine has been taken apart 2 times and looks like a 3rd time is in the cards.

DAMN. Have the previous rebuilds used the same cylinders?

@jscottyk yes, but they were supposedly inspected and came out ok.

I'm gonna talk with someone who has an understanding of the law and my protection. I'm past the Lemon Law period by 3 months but I think with the service records and other documentation it shouldn't matter.

We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.

Sounds like the thread of evidence points to the problem starting and being reported in advance of the period expiring. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I know someone who would buy that. He owns multiple Ducatis, a KTM, a BMW, etc. To him, Ducati on the side of an electric mountain bike would make sense.
