    New stuff

AC/DC 5-185A HF start, preflow, crater fill mode, fully programmable pulser and all adjustable output frequency stuff you get with a fancy inverter machine. Plus hot start in stick mode.

Low mileage, only driven to church a couple of Sundays. I'm gonna fix that. The previous owner even offered to dig out a couple of low end aluminum tubesets for me to play with. I'm more interested in ti and stainless for bikes, but it's gonna do a vise pedestal and an alignment table first.

Excerpt from Garden Web: The real Tortoise shell is Ph. heterocycla, which is an unstable mutation of Ph. heterocycla f. pubescens. Although the distorted lower nodes of some Ph. aurea bear a resemblance to Tortoise shell bamboo, the two are noticeably different in appearance. True Tortoise shell is rare in this country and very expensive. The last specimen of Tortoise shell that was brought into the U.S. several years ago reportedly went for $7000.

Started the first of six "practice" frames. No lug cutouts or shorline altering, no braze-ons, no finish work. Just focusing on building as straight and clean as I can.
