    Default My new belt

I am so pumped about this! The buckle is earned by completeing all three rounds of the Snake Creek Gap TT series. The belt was made by a good friend of mine's little brother. I don't actually have it in hand yet, I'll pick it up next time I go home to visit my folks. He sent me the pics last night.

HA! That's pretty darn great. It takes luck, hard work and alot of planning to pull something like that off.

Between all three rounds, I spent about 17hrs riding (and pushing) 102 miles of stupidly rocky trail. The fast guys did it in 12ish hours. Round 1 I had to walk the last few miles 'cause my chain exploded and shot off down the mtn somewhere. Round 2 I raced the Slingshot I was testing, and had my best time of the year due to good legs and no mechanicals, and round 3 I cramped up and spent a lot of time helping a buddy fix his chain.

Can't wait to do it again next year!

He's underplaying how tough the race is. Good work man. I hope the back of the belt says bad motherfucker ala Pulp Fiction.

Congrats on a great belt. I've been wanting to make a belt for the past eight years. It uses a 1971 year, Lange ski boot buckle. The reason being I have owned a Lange belt since 1972 and for many years it saw almost daily use. I want to duplicate that belt, just need some time... maybe more time. Incidentally, the Lange belt was invented by Dave Williams, then brazenly stolen by Lange.
