I vote for any sporting activity that I do with my kids i.e. when I teach my son and daughter how to shoot a layup or take them to the velodrome to ride on a track for the first time - those small moments will be the world's greatest for they will happen in real time; on a personal scale which trumps behemoths such as the World Cup, Tour de France, etc.

I agree although there are a dozen close seconds.

Soccer is pure sport and the level of contact and intensity at the highest level is off the charts. As it's been said here before that even the worst climber in the pro peloton could destroy even the best local pro on a hill, The stuff that pro soccer player do is simply unbelieveable and they truly are not like us.

Whichever WC it was in the early nineties long before smart phones I was watching the americans doing good one morning on espn but I had to go to work.

I called the bag phone in my truck and set the house handset next to the tv and drove to work listening to the last 20 minutes and then the overtime.

The sound sucked but you take what you can get, I was glad to have it.

Hardest game there is. Soccer's a game too, though not as hard. And cycling's just an activity - hell, even my three-year old can do it.
