    Default Friday PicFest No.146

    *#&@^%!!! I hate computers.
My true measure of success shall be the day I never have to use one ever again.
On to bikes: Micro bike all polished out. all brazeons now on & off to paint.
I get to build a bike with a client on/for their 50th b-day today. Cool.

@02136 this week... well, from Savannah, GA.

Jamie and Kevin are holding down the fort whilst I gallivant around Savannah and Tybee Island.

But things keep on moving. Stebs of Paper Fortress finished up a cool little video he made for us:

Cheers to y'all! See ya next week.

    But until then:

I've got a new MTB going for myself while I wait for a couple bikes to come back from powder. Excited to be using this sweet tapered headtube, excited enough to cut some Engin inspired trim rings into it. There's some other cool stuff going on with it too, I'll keep you posted as it happens.

Since the next few bikes have 44 mm integrated headsets, and PF30 BB's, I had to make a reamer for them:

Looks like it removes a lot, but really only a few thousands.

Till next week. Happy New Year Builders!

As a hobby builder, I like to try different things. I'm wondering if my first polished stainless lug frame will be my last polished stainless lug frame. Hats off to the pros that provide this as an option to their customers.

Original plan was to polish the lugs and paint the stays... easier planned than done.

Modified PMW tube block to hold 24 mm oval stays.

Made a new wall mount for the frame jig.

    Finally got the PMW dopouts!

    Happy New Year!

This is Frank. He makes your custom Spooky. He's my boss and I'm his boss.

He also makes other stuff like that replica of a prototype full suspension Yeti that he built in '90 that you see in the background. It was the first iteration of the first full suspension bike to win a World Cup DH race. #roots

He hates when I take pictures of fixtures. I was there and I can't really remember what this thing is for.

The 10 most interesting stories I can tell.

My new "office" is very small very dark and very cold. I like it.

    The view to my right:

I finally have aluminum chips wedged into my shoes again. It makes me feel like I'm actually at work.

Out with the old, in with the new(obsolete dummy frames for use with the production fixture aka Deathstar).

I have to keep my bikes at home because the wall is full of all of Franks silly-assy vintage road bikes.
