I want to start wearing neckties again...

I wore a lot of neckties in high school. Not a private academy thing. I was a high school debator. A pretty good one. But it meant I wore a necktie every weekend from October to May. It didn't ruin me on them. Just tired of the aesthetic. But I'd like to return. Please provide inspirational imagery below. I'm thinking narrow and wool. (I also did a stage at an Italian restaurant during the popular days of the super wide knot)

I disagree with this entire sentiment... except the dandruff part. Dandruff is still out.

At least you know it. Usually takes me years to figure it out. So, SO glad my brother's marriage only last 10 months and the photos aren't just lying around my parents' house. What the hell was I thinking? More importantly, what the hell was he thinking?

The sad part... I match most of that description, except I teach history rather than math. But I look oh so fine in a cardigan sweater.

Funny timing!

It must be in the air or something, because I wore a tie the other day ( D&G, navy blue/silver micro-dot, silk), first time in a very long time and went, "this is my new deal".

Takes huge balls and thick skin. And it helps if you nail every other detail first.

My bowtie to long tie wear ratio is probably 15 or 20:1. You just have to do it and be comfortable with it. And have thick skin. Oh, and it helps to live in DC, where it is semi-normal. I got lots of weird looks while in Japan, but a 6'1" white guy wearing a bowtie walking with a 5'10" Singaporean girl will do that.

Terrible idea. Wearing a bow tie says "I have no balls" and "I am completely harmless". Just go take a look at the type of people who wear bow ties.

Bowties can work, but like someone else mentioned you have to be spot on with everything...especially the tying of the tie. You can't half ass it. That said I don't care for them on me. I look better with a regular necktie which I have many of.
