    Default Cranberry Sauce

Don't buy it in a can.
Leave convenience foods for inconvenient recipes.

    1 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    Cranberries.

Combine sugar water over heat until it melts the sugar. (like 2 minutes)
    Throw in Cran's.
Wait until the berries start popping like an overinflated tire. (like 10 minutes?)
Let cool and jell. (Add any stuff like orange parts/peel or ginger or gingered rhum)

    BICKITY BAM !

    I do love it.
My fav. is to zest lemon peel and grate some fresh ginger.
Every odd yr. I made a fresh cranberry salsa with jalapenos, apricot and walnuts. It's that simple. Mold it into a bowl two or three days prior than flip it onto something fragile and serve with turkey dinner.

Here is a formal recipe. I go this from , of all places, the Butterball website. No joke.
I rough chop the fresh cranberries and nix the onion.

3 cups (12 ounces) coarsely chopped fresh cranberries
    1/2 cup honey
    2 large oranges, peeled, sectioned
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup dried apricots, thinly sliced
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded, finely chopped
    2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Most recent batch I added Aleppo Pepper, some black pepper, and anise seed, and it was a win.
