    Default Mystery White Powder

I took my torch apart, possibly for the first time, and found a mystery white powder inside where the fuel hose attaches. It's very fine, even finer than it looks in the pic since the granules easily disintegrate into finer powder. The reason I took the torch apart was that I was getting a little bit of crackling in the flame which suggested some type of contamination to me. My flame is nice and quite again with the powder removed. Any idea what this is?

    Thanks, Joel

Mystery solved. I got some Kevlar hoses from Dave Bohm a while back that had been used with a Gasfluxer in the past.

    Thanks, Joel

Why not? I didn't build any frames while my torch was acting up. I just asked a question and got an answer.

Yes, it was an attempt at humor. Of course you should post it here!! Although, it does really look like the "stuff" in the gangster movies"
