Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.

I've dropped 8.5kgs since October. Down to 78 now after cutting out a chocolate addiction and most other processed sugar. After 3 weeks off chocolate i fell in a lethargic heap struggling to get out of bed etc. Started taking a chromium supplement and the rest is history. My weight doesn't fluctuate all over the place anymore, riding is so much easier too.
I used chocolate for comfort struggling to cope with fatherhood but things are easier now.

201.6 this morning, almost 40% of the way there
Still at 213, I have been recovering from a back injury so training has been light. I am ok with staying where I am for the moment.
Chocolate is my biggest addiction (aside from riding too much says my wife). I now have a cup of hot chocolate after dinner every night. Does the trick, just hot water with 2 teaspoons of cocoa (1 dark, 1 regular) and 2 teaspoons sugar and the cravings are gone!
BTW, down to 138lbs/6% now, ready to kick some butt.
Sorry to hear that Doug, hope it's nothing serious.
My left knee is starting to bother me, so I might have to lighten up as well. I put more miles on the Kirk in February than since receiving/building it last summer and I don't think my position is setup correctly. I'd been fiddling with my cleat angle before I remembered that I switched to new pedals. Hopefully it's something as simple as swapping back to the 105 pedals from the Dura-Ace on the Kirk. The Dura-Ace spindles might be a little narrow for me.
Back is getting better, I need to remember that trainer riding creates odd stresses in my back. This makes postion changes potentially hazardous, I switched postion up a bit and within two days was having problems.
